As the trade organization for the life science industry, SwedenBIO has an important mission to represent the industry towards political decision makers and to create good conditions for the companies in the market. In this work, the role of the communicator is critical and we are now looking for a colleague to strengthen the operational communication and marketing work.
We offer a workplace with a lot of responsibility and good opportunities for personal development. SwedenBIO has high visibility towards our target group, which consists of business leaders, political decision-makers and other business representatives. You will come into contact with a large network of decision-makers in the life science industry and have the opportunity to become part of the strong voice of the industry.
You will also work extensively on marketing Nordic Life Science Days – the largest international business conference for life science in the Nordic region – to a Nordic and international audience.
Main tasks
- Operational communication work with a focus on producing and publishing content in SwedenBIO’s channels, including website, social media, newsletters, and to some extent printed matter.
- Produce communication and marketing materials for Nordic Life Science Days, including planning and producing newsletters, collecting and editing information texts, and regular updating of the website and social media.
- Produce texts with a scientific, political or business focus, such as news articles for the website, consultation responses, press releases and information texts.
- Plan and perform event-related communication and marketing for major and minor events organized by SwedenBIO.
Whoyou are
- You are a self-starter who can design and implement the production of communication and marketing materials with a description of the purpose of the task.
- You are flexible and work well in a small team where you can and are expected to provide support to colleagues in different roles when required.
- To be successful in the role, you need to have a thirst for knowledge and be able to engage with scientific and business topics related to the life science industry.
- We would like you to contribute to an internal culture where we respect different perspectives and personalities, where our differences become a complementary factor that benefits both the group and our large network.
Requirements
- At least a few years of work experience in a relevant field, such as communications, journalism, or marketing, with demonstrated good results in previous workplaces.
- You have good editorial skills in Swedish and can both write and help proofread other people’s texts. You can also write in English at a good level.
- Experience in planning, producing and publishing content across different channels, such as website, social media and newsletters. Good experience in text production is particularly sought after.
Meritorious
- Experience of working with a focus on science, health, business or policy advocacy.
- You will have good technical skills in one or more publishing platforms and editing tools, such as within the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience in marketing through e.g. email and social media, preferably related to events or conferences.
