On March 1, Läkemedelsvärlden, Apotekarsocieteten and SwedenBIO invited to a breakfast seminar. Anders Lönnberg, government coordinator for life sciences, talked about what has been achieved so far and what will be done in the future.

For almost a year now, Anders Lönnberg has been tasked by the government to bring together the life science industry and propose measures to boost it. He is assisted by a reference group with representatives from industry, academia and healthcare.

During an intense hour, Ingrid Helander, Editor-in-Chief of Läkemedelsvärlden Anders Lönnberg felt the pulse of what has actually been achieved. The panel included Ingrid Heath, Vice President and Head of Policy at SwedenBIO, Karin Meyer, CEO of Apotekarsocieteten, and Jan Andersson, Director of Research and Innovation at Stockholm County Council.

About the mission

According to Anders Lönnberg, the task is to coordinate three departments, find common priorities, and provide the government’s innovation council with a basis for long-term political measures. The aim is to improve the quality of care, disseminate new treatments and enable innovations to generate revenue.
