Antibiotics is classified as one of the world’s largest health threats by the WHO World Health Organization. The problem is not just due to the overuse of antibiotics. In the entire chain, from manufacture to use, there are things to do to prevent an increase in resistance development. This includes reducing the impact on our external environment, not least in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals.
