The search for a cure for Alzheimer’s disease

Welcome to a half day where Läkemedelsvärlden.se takes the pulse of the latest research in drug development and diagnostics.

More than 100 000 people in Sweden are living with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. There are currently no drugs that can slow down the progression of the disease. However, a lot of research is ongoing and despite major challenges and setbacks, the hope is that we are getting closer to a more effective treatment.

You will hear about the challenges that need to be solved for the paradigm shift a therapeutic drug for Alzheimer’s would represent. The day provides a unique opportunity to gain new knowledge, network and set the agenda for the future development of the Alzheimer’s field.
