New factsheet on how to navigate the patent landscape

Today SwedenBIO launches a new fact sheet together with the member company Groth & Co on how to act in relation to other people's patents.

– In life sciences, awareness of patents is generally high; most companies are well aware of their own patents. But it is your duty to always respect other people’s patents, and this is where we often see shortcomings in internal management. Therefore, we have noticed an increased demand to inform and work strategically with Freedom-To-Operate analyses, says Joanna Applequist, European Patent Attorney and specialist in life sciences.

– The factsheet provides concrete tips on how and when you should conduct Freedom-To-Operate analyses to navigate the existing patent landscape, and what to do if you encounter obstacles.
