SwedenBIO calls for permanent secretariat for life sciences

The government's coordinator for the life sciences, Anders Lönnberg, has submitted an interim report on his work. The report describes the work of the reference group and the proposals submitted to the government, as well as developments in the life sciences sector in general.

In 2017, there is a strong focus on supporting the government in the work on the Swedish application to locate the EMA in Sweden and the task of promoting investments here at home. SwedenBIO, which participates in the work of the reference group, is pleased with the progress and wants to emphasize the importance of this being driven as a long-term effort to further strengthen Sweden’s position in life science. A life sciences office should therefore be established as a permanent function to deal with these issues.
