SwedenBIO is looking for a Community Manager

You are social, business-driven and curious with a heart that beats for new innovations and companies active in Life Science. Become our new Community Manager!

A warm welcome to SwedenBIO, an industry organization with the ambition to gather all of Sweden’s Life Science companies. We are a small, dedicated team with the ambition to make a big difference. We represent more than 330 member companies active in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, medical technology, service companies and partner organizations. What all these companies have in common is the desire to improve human health, in Sweden and worldwide.

About the role

As an organization, we offer meeting places, build knowledge, give the industry a strong voice and we dare to say that we make a difference for the industry and in the long run the individual. As Community Manager, you will work operationally with a focus on our members, partly by identifying new potential member companies and partly by deepening the relationship with existing ones. Our ability to influence depends entirely on our ability to engage and identify which members should work where, in the context of our activities. Your role is crucial here.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Identify and establish relationships with potential new member companies in order to increase SwedenBIO’s membership.
  • Deepen the relationship with existing members to create the conditions for a high level of member satisfaction and engagement in the issues we pursue.
  • Main responsibility for our membership register in Salesforce. You will be a CRM super user responsible for the functioning of the system, processes and compliance.
  • You will be part of the Life Science community and will be expected to attend evening member events and conferences in Sweden and abroad.

You will be part of a small agile team with high ambition and dedication. You have great freedom in the role and design your days in dialog with your colleagues and SwedenBIO members. The role is a permanent position based in Stockholm.

Your profile

You have an academic background that has led you into the life sciences industry where you have gained an overview of the sector. The role is very outgoing, so if you’re not already a mingle master, you’ll need dedication and determination to become one. You plan your work yourself, which requires tools and the ability to create structure. It is a “selling” role so a business drive and willingness to persuade is a prerequisite.

Formal requirements and meritorious experience:

  • BSc or MSc in Biology/Biotechnology/Biomedicine, Chemistry/Chemical Engineering, or similar or a university degree in business with a couple of years of work experience in the Life Science industry.
  • Experience in sales or entrepreneurship is an advantage, but above all we want to see a demonstrated “go-get-it” attitude.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems is an advantage.
  • You write and speak fluently in Swedish and English.
  • Ability to work evening hours and travel on average 3-6 days per month.

If you’re not already convinced, we can add that you get nice colleagues, the opportunity to build a huge network and if you want to train in the middle of the day, it’s perfectly fine, to name a few more.

We welcome your application until June 19, 2024. Selection and interviews are carried out on a continuous basis so do not wait to submit your application.
