SwedenBIO to promote a united voice on Swedish strengths in life sciences

SwedenBIO's secretariat is now being strengthened with additional specialist expertise. It is Heather Marshall Heyman, project manager with the goal of increasing Swedish participation in European collaborations, who is now linked to SwedenBIO through her assignment for the influence platform that Swelife runs together with the innovation program Medtech4Health.

Sweden is currently in a good position when it comes to the proportion of grants awarded by the EU, but it can be even better. It is against this background that the advocacy platform will help to highlight the best of Swedish life science at EU level for the upcoming framework program, which so far goes by the working title FP9, Framework Programme 9.

– We want to present a comprehensive picture of the entire sector and its areas of strength: industry, academia and other stakeholders,” says Heather Marshall Heyman. SwedenBIO is a unique platform perfectly suited for this broad mission.

Please take the opportunity to respond to the survey that is open now and until August 31 if you want to contribute input on what Sweden should highlight in future calls.
