Two proud winning entries in the SwedenBIO hack final

The jury winners of the SwedenBIO Hack were Björn Arvidsson, Stuns Life science, Marie Gårdmark, Regsmart, Arvid Söderhäll, Empros pharma with the hack "Challenges for small and medium-sized companies in the contact with the Medical Products Agency in the capacity of being able to verify their services/products through testing"

One of the themes included in the SwedenBIO Hack was solutions for a smooth and predictable authorization process for clinical trials. The theme is based on experiences from SwedenBIO’s pipeline survey, which shows that Swedish companies move their trials abroad as the Swedish authorization authorities have long lead times and unpredictability and create high costs for the companies.

Vinnarhacket said that the dialog between the industry, via SwedenBIO, and the Swedish Medical Products Agency needs to be strengthened and that access to the agency’s services should be increased and, if possible, exempted from fees. What’s good for life sciences is good for Sweden and it should be easy to do the right thing,” the hack said.

The winners of the audience award were Karin von Wachenfeldt, Truly Labs, Anette Orheim, Medicon Village, Björn Walse, Saromics, Peter Jacobsson, UBI and Marjolein Thunnissen, MAX IV with the hack “How do we put life science on the map in the new national technology park function linked to ESS and MAX IV?” which hacked on the theme of making the infrastructures available to companies, based on the companies’ research and needs. For those who missed the live broadcast, it is still possible to see the presentations on SwedenBIO’s youtube channel.
