The collaboration took off with a networking event in November 2020 bringing together more than 70 selected companies, investors and academic actors from Sweden and California to brainstorm about how to overcome obstacles standing in the way of innovations in these fields.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The MOU is intended to enhance the cooperation within the fields of life sciences, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, health &amp; medical technologies.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSweden and California both have dynamic and innovative life science sectors. We look forward to deepening our cooperation with Biocom California to explore more ways to cooperate and exchange new ideas\u201d, says Jessica Martinsson, CEO and Director General, SwedenBIO.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sweden offers incredibly innovative research and a rich variety of therapeutics, and California is home to the largest biotechnology ecosystem in the world.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSwedenBio and Biocom California have enjoyed a collaborative relationship for 5 years.
