The O2-DDR technology platform is versatile and different therapeutic effects can be achieved depending on which proteins are targeted and how they are modified. It enables addition of oxidative stress to cancer cells to kill them as well as blocking of oxidative stress to stop inflammation so that the body doesn’t overreact and cause patient harm. Oxcia AB is a pioneer in O2-DDR biology with a focus on developing new safe treatments for patients suffering from diseases caused by cancer or inflammation. The two most advanced projects emanating from the platform are:
OXC-101, currently in clinical development in advanced haematological cancers. Both FDA and EMA recently approved ODD for OXC-101 in AML.
OXC-201, currently in preclinical stage, entering clinical phase 1 in 2027, developed as a novel treatment for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Oxcia has an EIC transition grant supporting this program.
