New member benefits through international collaboration

As a part of the new set of collaborations between Swedish and Californian life science industries, the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce (SACC) in San Diego and SwedenBIO has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU), which will enable both organizations to strengthen their support to life science companies.

As a result of the strengthened collaboration between SACC and SwedenBIO, there is now an opportunity to receive a young professional from an American university for a traineeship in Sweden, or to welcome a Swedish young professional for a traineeship in the US.

Strong link forming between life science hot spots of California and Sweden

In a recent mapping of the Swedish and Californian life science sectors, several common areas of strengths were identified, notably immuno-oncology, rare diseases/orphan drugs and cell and gene therapy. This has spurred a new link forming between these life science hot spots to secure that opportunities for innovative and brilliant minds to join forces in tackling health challenges are not lost.
