Open call for academic and industrial PhD projects in data-driven life science
SciLifeLab and the Wallenberg National Program for Data-Driven Life Science (DDLS) have announced a new open call for academic and industrial PhD projects. This initiative supports projects that combine industrial relevance with cutting-edge academic research in data-driven life sciences. Deadline November 17th, 2025, learn more and apply here.
Industrial postdoc call – opening spring 2026
A call for industrial postdoctoral projects is planned to open in spring 2026. This will offer new opportunities for collaboration between companies and academic groups, with a focus on fostering data-driven innovation and talent exchange. More info coming soon.
Matchmaking event – early 2026
To further support networking and the formation of collaborative projects, a matchmaking event between industry and academia will take place in early 2026. Details will be shared closer to the date, but we encourage you to start identifying potential partners and project ideas now.
SciLifeLab PULSE: Program for Future Leaders in Life Science
SciLifeLab PULSE is a postdoctoral program, that will train 48 future leaders in life sciences. It focuses on innovative, fundamental and translational research carried out in supportive and diverse academic and industrial environments. The second SciLifeLab PULSE call will open on December 15, 2025. More info here.
SciLifeLab PULSE: Entrepreneurial track
PULSE postdoc applicants have the opportunity to choose between an academic or an entrepreneurial track. Both fellowship tracks will include advanced training in research and transferable skills, integrating international, interdisciplinary and intersectoral elements to foster collaborations and career development towards future leadership in molecular life sciences. SwedenBIO har hållit föreläsningar om det svenska innovationsstödsystemet och om karriärfärdigheter för forskare för svenska och europeiska doktorander. SwedenBIO har även fungerat som rådgivare till KTH i arbetet med att definiera deras nya masterprogram som kombinerar bioteknik och datavetenskap, samt till KI för deras masterprogram i translationell fysiologi och farmakologi.
Praktikplatser och utbyten
SwedenBIO för dialog med relevanta aktörer kring hur industrin kan öppna upp för fler praktikplatser och utbyten, både inom grund- och högre utbildning samt för yrkesinriktade utbildningsprogram.
