True Dose® is a Karolinska Institutet spin-out founded to make therapeutic drug monitoring practical, accessible, and routine – for every patient, at home.
Their story began in 2012, when two of the founders were involved in groundbreaking clinical studies on the correlation between drug concentration and the effectiveness of breast cancer treatments. Their research demonstrated that personalised dosing, guided by biomarkers in the blood, significantly improved outcomes compared to the standard body-surface-area approach – a method over a century old.
Recognising the high costs and logistical barriers of traditional blood sampling, they envisioned a more accessible solution. Development of the at-home kit began in 2018. True Dose® was formally founded in 2023, with CE-marked products 2026.
