SwedenBIO is hiring an International Program Director

We're looking for an experienced program director to take charge of our international projects, such as our flagship conference Nordic Life Science Days. Join our team in the heart of Stockholm!

SwedenBIO, the Swedish life science industry organization with over 300 member companies in biotech, pharma and medtech, is looking for a new team member to be responsible for the program development within our international platforms, primarily but not exclusively Nordic Life Science Days.

Nordic Life Science Days is our flagship event and has grown into the largest partnering meeting in the life science field in the Nordics, gathering some 1,300 delegates from 40 countries. As we are looking to expand the event even further, building on its importance as a link between the dynamic Nordic innovation scene and international life science hot spots, we are creating the new inhouse position International Program Director at SwedenBIO.

For this position we are looking for someone who is highly operative and hands on, securing full delivery of development as well as implementation of our international operations. The position will also require a clear business mindset and a strategic ability to jointly with SwedenBIO´s Director General and Managing Director NLSDays strengthen SwedenBIO´s international profile. Other responsibilities will include to coordinate content development at other international events and continuously contribute to the communication around SwedenBIO´s international activities.

Your responsibilities will be to lead the versatile work of developing content for the conference Nordic Life Science Days, catching the next wave, and constantly being one step ahead to secure a cutting-edge program. A background in life sciences and an in-depth understanding of both the business and scientific side of this industry is a clear merit.

You will also play a key part in bringing the Nordics together as one life science region in international settings, including promotion activities at BIO International Convention.

SwedenBIO is run by a small team where everyone needs to be able to chip into the overall ambition to support our member companies with a great service mindset.

Requirements

  • University degree in a relevant field
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience within life sciences
  • Skills: Project leadership; written and oral communication skills; strong networking skills; a team player, yet highly independent; structured and strategic; service- and business minded
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong network within life sciences

About this recruitment

Terms of employment
Collective agreement, permanent position.

Applicants must have the legal right to work in Sweden as we are not able to sponsor a work visa for this position.

Location
The International Program Director should be based in Stockholm. Some travelling will be required.
