A triennial mapping of Swedish drug development
Every third year, the Pipeline report provides a uniquely detailed mapping of the drug developing pharma and biotech industry in Sweden. It includes industry statistics, a deep-dive into the combined domestic pipeline and detailed company and project lists. It is produced by SwedenBIO with support from Business Sweden, Vinnova, and the international business intelligence company Citeline
Cost free and open to all drug developing companies
Participation is cost free and open to all eligible companies, SwedenBIO members and non-members alike. No matter if gaining international visibility is important for you or not, your company’s data is important to help mapp the breadth and depth of Swedish pharma development.

As Sweden’s main life science industry association, it is part of our mission to support the Swedish life science industry’s visibility on the international stage. SwedenBIO has mapped the Swedish drug development pipeline since 2006, and shared the data internationally to enable more deals for Swedish biopharma.
A go-to source for investors..
Since the launch of the 2023 Pipeline, it has been used in many meetings with international investors to promote Swedish life science. SwedenBIO representatives meet a large number of investors every year at international conferences and always bring a copy of the Pipeline with them.

Many international companies, hubs and actors in the life science industry are interested in the Pipeline as it gives them a unique database enabling them to discover pharma development projects.. The latest edition of the Pipeline reached a large number of companies and actors through SwedenBIO and partners like BusinessSweden in the quest to promote Swedish life science.

Why a report?
The report is a tool for SwedenBIO and our partners to promote Swedish life science globally and, more specifically, highlight Swedish companies active in pharmaceutical research and development. The report is also produced to provide a national overview of the industry and its needs, enabling efforts to influence future investments in the life science sector where they are most needed.
Why participate?
Being included in the report provides individual companies with global exposure. Through Business Sweden and regional investment promotion organizations, the report is distributed worldwide and widely shared at international meetings. By submitting the requested information, you ensure that accurate information about your company is presented in the report.
Who can participate?
All biotech and pharmaceutical companies with main operations and R&D activities in Sweden that have projects in discovery, preclinical, and/or clinical phases.
Projects within veterinary medicine or medical technology are not included in this mapping.
What information is requested?
We gather data about your drug development pipeline, by asking you to submit or review data about your drug assets, investigated inducations, therapy areas, modality, development stage, placement of clinical trials and manufacturing etc.
Most data will be handled with strict confidentiality and only displayed in aggregated form (statistics and graphs). Some data, clearly highlighted in the spreadsheet, will be displayed in the company and project list.
