Business Sweden has taken the decision to arrange a Swedish pavilion at the BIO International Convention 2026 in San Diego, 22–25 June. SwedenBIO is helpinga partner in this strategic initiative
– It is becoming increasingly important to promote Swedish life science abroad amid the rising international competition. National pavilions at events like BIO are crucial for the visibility of a small country like Sweden and we hope that more members will support this initiative. This is our opportunity to create a unified and visible Swedish presence on the global life science stage, says Marjo Puumalainen, International Director at SwedenBIO.
Centrally located at the San Diego Convention Center, the 55 sqm Swedish Pavilion will demonstrate the breadth and depth of Swedish expertise as well as serve as a dynamic meeting hub offering strong visibility, shared traffic, and space for partnering meetings, seminars, and drop-ins throughout BIO international.
A hub for seminars, receptions and events
Throughout the week, the Swedish Pavilion will feature a curated seminar program with panels, talks, and fireside chats. Sessions will address key life science topics while showcasing Sweden’s innovation capacity, infrastructure, and collaborative ecosystem The pavilion will also see a hospitality reception to attract visitors from day one, showcasing Swedish culture alongside the strength of Sweden’s life science industry in a relaxed, high-quality networking environment. In addition, companies joining the Swedish Pavilion are invited to a Team Sweden event beyond the BIO International show – bringing together Swedish industry peers for curated networking, knowledge exchange, and inspiration.
