Business Sweden and SwedenBIO invite Swedish biotech companies to join the Swedish Biotech Delegation to Hong Kong, Shanghai and BioChina 2027.
The delegation connects participating companies with investors, pharmaceutical and biotech companies, research organizations and innovation ecosystems through official programs in Hong Kong on 4-5 March and Shanghai on 8-9 March, followed by participation in BioChina 2027 in Suzhou on 10-12 March.
Following the Hong Kong program, participants may choose to remain in Hong Kong or travel to Shanghai during the weekend of 6–7 March. This period falls outside the official delegation program, and participants are responsible for their own arrangements and expenses.

Participation does not guarantee investment, partnerships, licensing agreements, meetings or other commercial outcomes.
Why Hong Kong, Shanghai and BioChina?
Hong Kong
Hong Kong combines international connectivity, capital-market capabilities, research institutions and innovation platforms, providing a valuable setting for dialogue with investors and life science stakeholders.
Shanghai
Shanghai is one of China’s major biotechnology and pharmaceutical hubs, bringing together pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, investors, research organizations and innovation clusters.
BioChina 2027
BioChina is one of China’s major biotechnology industry events, bringing together biotech companies, pharmaceutical organizations, investors and researchers across the life science value chain.
Participating companies will join a coordinated Swedish presence and receive one BioChina Partnering Pass per participating company. Subject to sufficient participation, the coordinated Swedish presence may include a shared pavilion. The pavilion is not guaranteed and will be confirmed only after registration closes.
The Partnering Pass provides access to BioChina’s partnering platform, allowing the designated pass holder to identify participating organizations and submit meeting requests.Meeting requests are subject to mutual interest, acceptance and availability. BioChina, Business Sweden and SwedenBIO cannot guarantee that a meeting request will be accepted or that a one-to-one meeting will take place.

The detailed agenda and participating stakeholders will be finalized based on the delegation’s composition, stakeholder availability and participating companies’ priorities.
Who Should Participate?
The delegation is relevant for Swedish biotech and life science companies that:
- Develop innovative therapeutics, platforms, enabling technologies or research services
- Are exploring investment, scientific collaboration or strategic partnerships
- Seek dialogue with pharmaceutical companies, biotech innovators and investors in Asia
- Want greater insight into Asian biotechnology and partnering ecosystems
Participation Fee
SEK 35,000 per SME | SEK 70,000 per non-SME
SwedenBIO members receive a 15% discount.
The participation fee covers up to two representatives per participating company.
The participation fee includes:
- Official Hong Kong and Shanghai delegation programs
- Group meetings, briefings, site visits and networking activities included in the official program
- Lunches and scheduled group transportation during the Hong Kong and Shanghai programs
- Scheduled group transfer from Shanghai to Suzhou¹ and group transportation to the BioChina venue in the morning
- Coordinated Swedish presence at BioChina²
- One personalized BioChina Partnering Pass per company³
- Company profiling as part of the Swedish delegation
The participation fee does not include:
- Flights, airport transfers and accommodation
- Travel between Hong Kong and Shanghai
- Arrangements and expenses outside the official delegation program
- Visa, travel insurance and personal expenses
- Additional BioChina passes, exhibition, sponsorship or speaking packages
¹ Shanghai–Suzhou transfer: Only the scheduled group transfer specified in the official delegation itinerary is included. Participants travelling independently, at a different time or by another route must arrange and pay for their own transportation.
² Swedish presence at BioChina: A shared Swedish pavilion may be arranged subject to sufficient participation. The pavilion is not guaranteed and will be confirmed after registration closes.
³ BioChina Partnering Pass: One personalized pass is included per participating company and assigned to one representative. Additional passes must be purchased separately at the participating company’s own expense.
De Minimis and SME Regulation
The Participant Company guarantees that it has not received or been granted public support classified as “de minimis aid” exceeding EUR 300,000 during the last three years, including this assignment.
For the SME participation fee, the Participant Company must qualify as an SME according to the European Commission’s definition.
