The Swedish life science industry is expanding at high speed, and as the national industry organization it is important for SwedenBIO to support its sustainable growth by staying abreast of developments and communicating the industry’s priorities. That is why SwedenBIO now expands with Alexandra Hoegberg as director of communications and Sebastian Blomstrand as digital communications officer.

Finally, we get to ring the bell at the SwedenBIO office for member nr 300. Sliding in right after Agrisera Biotech, an ultimate example of homegrown Swedish biotech based in Vännäs, the jubilar nr 300 is no less than big pharma company Boehringer Ingelheim. Head quartered in Germany and with sites all over the world, their country manager for Sweden, Amy Arthur, have chosen to bring this big pharma into the community of Swedish Life Sciences.
Vännäsbolaget Agrisera med fokus på framställning av så kallade polyklonala och monoklonala antikroppar välkomnades in som bolag 299 i dagarna. Samarbetet med att nyttja deras specifika erfarenheter och kompetens har redan tagit sig uttryck i det fokus som vi nu lägger på SwedenBIO Summit, med vd Erika Gelfgren på scenen i sessionen ”En nära marknadsupplevelse”
Förra veckan genomfördes första etappen av SwedenBIO och Läkemedelsakademins helt nyutvecklade utbildning i strategi och affärsutveckling för life science ledare.
